Hear the words, ‘But wait, there’s more!’, and one name is likely to spring to mind – Suzanne Paul!
The iconic nzgirl has made a name for herself as the queen of infomericals (does the word Natural Glow ring any bells?!), become a high profile TV personality, successful business woman, multimilionaire and gone through her fair share of public ups and downs.
Now this gorgeous lady has released her own inspiring biography, revealing her life story and climb to the top – aptly named But Wait There’s More (Penguin Group, RRP $37.00). How could we not ask this amazing woman to share with us what she wished she knew back when she was 25? ___________________________________________________________________________ Make sure that you cleanse and moisturise every day, because even though it’s tedious, it’s worth it and you’ll have better skin than anyone else. Only lie out in the sun with a good sunscreen on, NOT baby oil as you’re just frying your self and will end up looking like a wrinkled old prune. Make sure you eat lots of delicious cakes and chocolate, because later on you only have to look at a jam donut and you’ll gain five pounds. Just make sure you do some sort of exercise every week. Doing a bit regularly, ends up being much easier than suddenly realising you’re unfit and out of shape and then exercising is horrible and painful and boring. Even when you’re only earning a pittance make sure you save 10% of your wages. It won’t seem like much at the time, so you won’t miss it, but you’ll thank God you have it later on. And when you do buy your dream home, pay it off as quickly as you can so it’s all yours, then put it into a trust, so that no one can ever take it away from you, and you’ll never be homeless. Make sure you live life to the full. Set yourself lots of goals, and write them all down, then take small steps until you achieve them all, and aim high! Never, never, never, never give up; if you fail at something, it’s not the end of the world, just get up and have another go. Buy a mixture of high street fashion and designer clothes, bags and shoes. When it goes out of fashion get rid of the cheap stuff, but keep all the well made, designer label things, as they will come back into fashion and you’ll save a fortune. Never tell lies, as you always get found out in the end, and be kind to everyone you meet and treat others as you wish to be treated yourself. Don’t have too many curly perms, and don’t get your hair cut short one day just because you’re fed up with it. You’ll only spend the next 20 years trying to grow it back again. Realize the beauty of youth, because even when you have nothing, you still have that. Don’t worry every day about being too fat or too thin or having spots, you’re young it doesn’t matter, you’re still gorgeous. Don’t marry the first person that asks you, because you’re worried no one else ever will. Just when you least expect it, Mr Right will come along, and he’ll be worth waiting for. Most of all, make sure you laugh every day, enjoy the simple things in life and nurture your friendships. What's the secret behind Suzanne's gorgeous, bronze glow? The Natural Big Blue Puff! Simply dust a little over your body for a flawless, natural looking summer tan! RRP $45 from suzannepaul.co.nz.
