We got to talking at nzgirl HQ about how great it would be if we were to WIN a Spectacular Trip to Monkey Bay.

Naturally, being the creatively inclined bunch we are, we’ve already drawn up our map! With loads of relaxing, loads of sites and loads of fun to be had, this is the ultimate trip, nzgirl style!



Heading past the Bombays, we would stop for a mammoth ice cream at Pokeno (famous for not one, but two great icecream stores!) and stretch our legs. Then head south to the bright lights of Rotovegas!



Nestled into a giant pool of thermal goodness, we’d settle in for a gossip and rest our weary bodies, while thinking of the delicious 2005 Merlot we're about to tuck in to. Unless, we opted for a glass of fresh 2007 Monkey Bay Sauvignon Blanc on the lakefront, with a newspaper basket of fish and chips in the other hand!



There's too much to fit in here, so we'd opt for not one, but two days in picturesque Taupo! The perfect setting for ample opportunties for adventure - with two nights luxury accomodation to head back to at the end of the day!

We could trek to Huka Falls where next to tonnes of gushing water, we’d dream of an invite to Huka Lodge, but be more than content with our Replete  goodies and glass of Monkey Bay Sauvignon Blanc – gourmet takeaways, nzgirl style! We'd also lap it up in our priavte pool at the Taupo Hot Springs Spa, pure bliss!




Wellington would be the perfect place to touch down and let our hair down! We'd lap up a Scopa hot chocolate and a big breakfast from Fidels, before planning a big night out at Sandwiches and the Matterhorn. Since we'd be crashing in a luxe 4 star hotel, the hardest decision would be 'white or red'?

The next day, we'd get ready for our thrilling helicopter ride over the Cook Straight and towards the rolling vineyards of Marlborough and our mecca...
