About You
We ask well known nzgirls: What's your luxury?

What's your favourite luxury? We asked some of our fav nzgirls to share with us their fav luxe treats to keep them feeling and looking fabulous!

Juliette Hogan
Fashion designer and shop owner, Ponsonby, Auckland
My Luxury: Fresh flowers.
Why: They look (and smell) so pretty, and can brighten up the dullest of moods so easily. Fresh flowers in my shop is a must, and I even had them as the backdrop to my runway show in 2006!

Anna Fitzpatrick
Model and host of Alt TV's The Seen
My Luxury: My fav luxury is going to Stephen Marr to have
my hair blow waved.
Why: As I wear a wig (due to alopecia) the hair needs to only be cut and dyed once. Because of this I don't have to endure the long hours under foils that blondes do, or visit every six weeks to get my fringe trimmed. Because of this I find going to the hairdresser such a treat! I love the fact they will wash my hair and make it look beautiful without me having to lift a finger. As I am in my last year at Uni, spending the money on a blow wave is definitely a luxury that I afford myself at least once a month.

Joe Cotton
Singer, Edge DJ, Jenny Craig Weight Loss Ambassador
My Luxury: MAC make-up, the occasional massage at East Day Spa and once in a blue moon an extra dark chocolate Sante bar
Why: Because all of them are good for the mind, body and soul. MAC makeup is so awesome I always feel like I'm totally treating myself when I splurge on it. It's a total luxury to have a full body massage and it's ultra relaxing which is just what I need when life gets a bit stressful. There's nothing better than a piece of chocolate.
Since I've been on the Jenny Craig  program, I've learnt to control my cravings, so when I do indulge it makes the experience even better...just a tiny taste and it's...HEAVENLY! Better than sex...well OK...a close second.

Kathryn Wilson
Shoe designer
My Luxury: My luxury is high thread-count white sheets.
Why: I can only afford a new set when they are on sale(!) but I simply adore the luxury of crisp, shiny, white sheets on my bed. It makes sleeping so much more dreamy!

Miriama Smith
NZ’s Got Talent Judge, screening soon on Prime TV
My Luxury: I have an invigorating Environ facial with Wai Hikuwai from Beauty Within on Ponsonby Road (she also gives the best foot massage in town!). Beauty Within is located in the MODS hair salon...so...I then get my hair cut and coloured by the fabulous team at Mods (thanks Natasha and Amber ), then I wander up the road and finish the experience off with a glass of Verve Cliquot at SPQR...bliss!

Helena
Mc Alpine
Presenter of Special Features, on C4 Thursdays at 9.30pm
My Luxury: A bath.
Why: I haven't lived in a house with a bath for over 4 years - I miss it! So whenever I can, I'll use someone else's. I offer to house-sit for friends who have one. I've even been known to call round on the pretence of a 'catch up over coffee'...only to pull out my toiletry bag and a fluffy towel. Once in there, I'll soak for hours with as many bubbles and yummy smelly things as I can use. And I like to read while I wrinkle.

Sonya Wilson
Reporter 20/20, on TV2 Thursdays at 9.30pm
My Luxury: I love to treat myself by going for a long run through a remote part of the country – whether it’s a little known forest track, or somewhere that’s completely off in the wilderness there’s nothing like really getting out of the city, and back to nature. It’s fantastic to run through trees and brush with only your own thoughts – and no other runners anywhere in sight.

When it comes to luxuries to pamper myself, I like to pick products that are equally kind to my skin, and the environment. I love the Body Shop’s Oceanus eau de toilette and Living Nature’s Manuka Honey lip balm.

Serena Cooper
Presenter, What Now on TV2
My Luxury: Well there are all luxuries you spend money on like shoes, haircuts, books and chocolate. I love those! But the best luxury is TIME! Nothing compares with having extra time to sleep in, and to spend on your family and friends! It makes me feel relaxed when I know I have time up my sleeve to do what I want. I guess I love wasting time too! Next time you want to splurge out on yourself save your wallet and spend some time instead.

Krishla Bogue
Hair and makeup artist, stylist
My Luxury: My simple daily caffeine hit to me is luxury, because I love socialising and having regular gossip sessions with my girlfriends over a great cup of coffee!
