Indulge yourself! Just because you’re at work, doesn’t mean you should drop your standards and be anything less than the fabulous lady you are! We’ve come up with our top 10 tips to bring a slice of luxurious heaven into your workplace... 1: Bring a gourmet lunchThink brie or camembert cheese with crackers and dips, a salad with your favourite vegies toppied with pine-nuts, quiche with gourmet chutney, juicy fruit, biscotti and chocolates or mini tarts to finish. Quench your thirst with some NZ spring water or sparkling grapetiser. Get your colleagues to each bring something and share the gourmet goodness! 2: Keep your hands at their best Hands need to retain moisture to prevent dryness and cracking, particularly in winter. Keep a tube of lush handcream at your desk or in your handbag and apply twice a day. Body lotion also works just as well. 3: Wear slippersNot all workplaces allow this of course, but if you can get away with it - go for it! Fluffy, towel, bed socks… any thing cosy and warm for your footsies will do. When it comes to comfy slippers, we love Emu Australia Boots. They feel great and look fab too! Just make sure you've got some suitable work shoes that are easy to slip on at a moment's notice, just in case an important client comes around! 4: Scent the room Make your space smell beautiful! It’s the ultimate way to help boost our mood! Try a bit of potpourri, or keeping a bar of soap or talcum sachet in your draws. Try products with tea tree, grapefruit, mint, cinnamon leaf, mandarin, lemon or rosemary, as they are energizing and uplifting scents. 5: Think ergonomicsCheck your office chair. Is your back kept upright and supported? Do you feel relaxed yet able to work at the chair or is it making you numb? An ideal ergonomic chair can be adjusted by height and by depth – a taller person will need a longer seat. Place a cushion on the chair and move it around as needed or look into getting a chair with armrests and padding. 6: Use luxurious stationery Work stationery should be practical and good quality. It should also be stuff you want to use. Try Kikki.K for matching items or Paperchase London from Borders for colourful and unique office supplies. 7: Keep hydratedKeep a water bottle at your desk and in your bag. It’s a great way to keep energy levels up, stay focused and ward off a headache. Being the ladies of luxury that you are, why not swap a coffee for a delicious hot chocolate every now and then. Speaking of which, when going out for coffee – try something new. Many cafes offer a shot of flavoured syrup such as hazelnut, caramel or Irish nut crème that can be easily injected into your coffee. Have a bit of variety! 8: Keep warm in winter (or cool in summer) Invest in a heater that also works as a fan to keep up an optimum temperature no matter the weather. Warm gel packs can also be bought from outdoor equipment shops such as Kathmandu or Rebel Sport to wear in your jacket pockets. 9: Decorate Decide on your favourite three colours this season and decorate your desk according to those. Being proud of your co-ordination will ideally encourage tidiness. Try coloured photo frames, dividers, stickers or pictures to put on the wall or notice board, a funky rubbish bin and notepads. 10. Feel good by looking goodThe night before a day of luxury at work requires a long beauty sleep. This gives you time to get up a bit early and prepare your luxurious look. If you wear black and white everyday add a conversation piece by wearing a unique and beautiful accessory. You could try a brooch, interesting necklace, hairclip, belt, scarf, watch or just anything in a bright and bold colour that suits you. Inspire others to create their own workplace environment of luxury! Holly Roberts
