Jamie Boutique 270 Ponsonby Road, (09) 361 4000 Alongside Jamie’s beautiful quirky range is a selection of other designers including selected pieces from the Vivienne Westwood Anglomania range. 11 Teed Street, Newmarket, (09) 520 2110 Stencbeck and Morse stock Alexandra Owen, Jaeha, Pearl, Josh Goot and Julia Fong to name a few. They tend to stock the younger and freshest designers out there, and the clothing racks are like a who’s who of upcoming and interesting designers. Shop 21 – 2 Nuffield Street, Newmarket, (09) 524 4741 Glamourpuss have stores in Albany as well as Christchurch now, but the Nuffield street store is its main location. The designs have a definate dressy bent and can be hired for one night (flirted with) or bought outright. In store you will also find Nudie jeans and Sass and Bide designs alongside kiwi labels like Huffer. The ranges change from season to season with tried and true favourites like Poodle and Sophie Boxer Cashmere being the base of range. The managers attend Air New Zealand fashion week every year to make sure they get the freshest of the fresh. Karen Walker and Costume National also sell here – one of the biggest and best designer concept stores in the country. 80 Lichfield Street, (03) 377 6131 Upstairs is womenswear with World and Sass and Bide amongst the labels, whilst downstairs menswear is all federation and Minus… Eden Designer Gallery 107 Manchester Street, (03) 377 2703 A bevvy of local designers sell through Eden including golden girls Karen Walker and Cybele. A hand picked selection of the best garments makes this a great one stop shop. Dunedin 106 George Street, (03) 470 1515 Alongside Tanya Carlson's own label is a range of designer offerings from around the country.
