About You
Ladi 6's Top Five Inspiring Women

Ladi 6 aka Karoline Tamati, is one hell of a kickass nzgirl, vocalist and MC. With her sublime soulful vocals and conscious lyrics, she’s managed to carve out a huge name and fan base for herself. She’s toured with big international acts such as 50 Cent and she’s collaborated with some of the country’s hottest musicians, including Shapeshifter, Scribe and Fat Freddys Drop.

She is currently recording her debut solo album which is due out later this year – we’re busting to check it out! We can’t get enough of this gorgeous, talented and hugely successful nzgirl, so we asked her to share with us the top five inspirational women within her life…

My mother has inspired me my whole life. She raised six children and a few cousins, while holding down full time jobs. She constantly encouraged new ways of thinking and entrepreneurial ideas, and has always started businesses from the ground up. She raised me and my three sisters to believe and understand that we can and could be anyone and do anything.

My three sisters have inspired me in different ways for different things. I could get specific but just know that we are close and there are only two years apart between each of us. There's nothing much I have done or thought that wasn't inspired by my sisters.

My girl cousins are like my sisters and I hope to inspire them as much as they inspire me.

My Aunts are all individually amazing women, who have had to go through so much in life. I am inspired by the way they live and maintain relationships with their siblings.

My Nana is the most amazing person. She lost husband and still had to raise 10 kids, she helped raise a lot of my family members and sits at the head of our family. She is a strong independent woman and I admire her the most of all.
