Postcard from: Polly in L.A

My first thought when I stepped off the plane was… "Oh I can't wait to get to my Beverly Hills hotel and have a bath!!" 

 

My craziest night was… Wow they were all crazy! Toss up between hanging out poolside at Lindsay Lohan’s fav bar 'Teddy's' at the Roosevelt Hotel, and hanging out at famous mob restaurant Dan Tanna's with Dom Bowden, Jason Gunn and my bestie Kath (Dan Tanna's is where George Clooney goes with all his mates after the Academy Awards!) Oh, and going to The Ivy for dinner and sitting next to designer Ralph Lauren.  I did actually work 14 hour days... I just enjoyed the night life too!
 

The coolest thing I saw was… An 80% off sale at Forever 21!

 

The hottest bargain I found was… A gorgeous Victoria's Secret blusher compact on sale for $10.00. 

 

It's so different from home because… It's full of either really skinny blonde models, or really overweight people with giant bums!
 

I'd like to come back next time and… Do it all over again. Plus have time to go to the Playboy Mansion. I was supposed to last time but got too busy. 

 

I'd recommend this place to you… Because it has the best food and shopping on earth! I also love LA because it never rains so my hair never goes frizzy! Ya gotta love a place that is a friend to both you and your GHD! 

 

Who was your favourite celeb to interview?  Oh man, I had several fav interviews, and for different reasons. I loved Christina Applegate because it was just really cool to meet her. I loved Josh Holloway because he is such a great nice funny guy, and Michael Urie from Ugly Betty because he is so gay and fabulous! James Denton who plays Mike on Desperate Housewives is really so much like his character on TV. He's like this cool laid back guy who you know really does fix his fence and do the home plumbing.

 

 

What was your least fav celeb interview? I found Courtney Cox pretty hard going. She seems very suspicious and tired of being famous. I guess being a star on Friends all those years probably wears you out in the end. I also found Ellen Pompeo extremely serious. She was one of those people that if an interviewer didn't ask the right questions, you would get a whole bunch of 'yes'  and 'no' answers. Fortunately I didn't screw up, but she did make me sweat! My theory is some of these women are also so very thin they don't have the energy to be warm. They are using all the kilojoules just to sit up without collapsing.

 

What was it like interviewing Eva Longoria? I have interviewed her in person twice now and she is absolutely genuinely lovely. She is absolutely beautiful inside and out. I don't think she has any ego, and I truly don't think you could meet a nicer woman! One of the things you notice about her immediately is what beautiful thick lush shiny hair she has. It's gorgeous.

 

 

What was it like interviewing McSteamy? McDreamy or Mc Steamy? They were both really nice but McDreamy is way smaller in real life than he is on TV. McSteamy sure is good looking and real tall too. I think in the flesh McSteamy is far dreamier!
