What to look for in a laptop bag… A briefcase with shorter handles, a messenger that you can sling over your shoulder, a backpack style or a simple and sleek sleeve to store under your arm or in another bag? - What dimensions do you need to carry your laptop?
As well as making sure you pick a bag that will fit your screen size, ie 17”, make sure you can fit the laptop accessories, your diary and whatever else you want to carry around in there. - Does it have adequate damage control?
 Can the bag protect your laptop (and year’s work) under regular rough and tumble conditions? How well will your laptop be protected if the bag falls off the carseat? What if you drop it? Look for a padded sleeve for the laptop to sit in.
