 Where to goThe great thing is if you’re on a budget, it is right here practically in our backyard at either Mt Ruapehu in the North or The Southern Alps in the South Island. Ohakune is a great ‘party’ place in the winter with all sorts of festivals and you can guarantee there will be car/van loads of guys there every weekend! Then there are your further a-field options like the Swiss Alps in Switzerland or Whistler in the Canadian Rockies.
What to do
Umm, mainly just play in the snow! You can take it to whatever level you want either carving up powder at the top of the mountain, or building snowmen in the lower parks. You could also just be a faker and just dress the part. Relax all day with a book, and pretend you had to rest up your leg after a gnarly wipe-out! And if you have the money, have a one on one lesson with an instructor. There’s almost a 90% chance of being landed with a hot male instructor! Fiji
It’s beautiful and sunny, the cocktails are on tap and you can always be sure of a heck of a good time with heaps of other people who have also escaped the cold New Zealand winter for the attraction of the heat. There is sure to be lots of skin everywhere you look!  Where to goMake sure you get off the main island, it isn’t the best that Fiji has to offer. Plus, there are some wicked resort islands that are for those who want to party! Yup, no noise control at 1am! Just you and hundreds of other singles overjoyed that they don’t have to get up for work the next day, and can bogey the night away.
What to do
The whole point of Fiji is that there isn’t all that much to do. There are always lots of water sports on offer and exploring to the other islands, but basically you could get away with planning your day like this: breakfast, read a book till fall asleep in sun, swim to wake yourself up for lunch, rest after lunch on the beach, another swim, and then it's time for happy hour, dancing then sleep.
Contiki or Kiwi Experience
Contiki is synonymous with singles in their 20s and 30s wanting to explore Europe in 15 days while making friends and partying hardcore. On a budget? You can practically just do the same thing on the Kiwi Experience bus here in New Zealand. Whack on an accent, skip across to the Island you don’t live on and it’s practically the same!
 Where to goContiki offers heaps of different travel itineraries, from week long, to month long. If you are going all the way to Europe, why not take your time to see as much of it as possible! Usually you visit Germany, France, Spain, Switzerland, Italy and Greece.
What to do
Well the idea of joining a Contiki is that you don’t have to plan what you do really. You just jump on the bus and go. I would say don’t drink too much, otherwise those day long bus rides will be hell. And most importantly, just makes as many friends as possible! Boat Cruise
Cruising is fantastic. It is just like a massive, floating hotel fully equipped with entertainment, food, accommodation and pools. Most cruises have meals and drinks included in the cost as well which will mean there will probably be a lot of fun had by all! Where to go Boat cruises are all around the world, and they even leave some of our main ports to head to Australia or up to the Islands. If I won the powerball jackpot you would probably find me in the Carribean though, or maybe French Polynesia. Heck, with $16million I could probably do both!
What to do
Cruise shops often have port stops, so when that happens you can get off your floating hotel and do some exploring. But basically it is the same recipe as Fiji. Breakfast, read, sleep by the pool, swim, lunch etc…
Surfers Paradise, Gold Coast
Surfers may be the place where heaps of families go for their holiday, but those with kids are all tucked up in their self-catering accommodation by 8pm and that’s when your time to shine begins! Restaurants galore, fantastic shopping and endless sun - bliss! .jpg)
Where to go
Make sure you stay right in Surfers, as a lot of accommodation is in Broadbeach, which is a little bit south of the main centre that comes alive at night. There are literally hundreds of places to stay, and depending on your budget, I would recommend getting a room in a high-rise as the view of the beach is amazing! What to do Jupiters Casino is huge and so much fun! Play the pokies with your small change, and watch the big guns at the black jack tables. Who knows, you might snag yourself some wealthy widow who lets you roll his dice! Downtown Surfers has a pretty cool club nightlife, and also don’t forget to just sit on the beach and watch…. The surfers of course! Hubba hubba (I can actually personally vouch for Surfers as a great place for singles, as both my friend and I managed to have ourselves a holiday fling.
