Name: Nicola Scott (nee Hays)
Partner’s Name: Chris Scott Ages: Nicola 27 and Chris 28
Where was the ceremony held? Our Lady of the Sacred Heart church (where I went to primary school), and then the reception was held at Sorrento, Cornwall Park. Who designed your dress?
Susan Tasker Wedding Dress Design. The dress was beautiful; a lot of hours went into making my dress! Who took your photos?
Sarah Jane photography. We were really happy with our photos and they captured our day perfectly. Which is your favourite shot? That is a very hard question - we had so many! I would have to say the picture of us kissing under my vale in Cornwall Park. How long did you spend organising the wedding?
We were engaged two years before we got married so we started thinking about it quite early on, although the last year we gave it the most thought. Did you decide to change your name?
Yes!

How did you spend the time leading up to the ceremony?Firstly, Nadia (my bridesmaid) and I went for a walk early in the morning in Cornwall Park. The weather was perfect. After our walk we both had our hair done at home, then went to MAC to have our makeup done. We then had my family all together and had photos at our family home before going to the church. What moments brought tears to your eyes? My first teary moment came when my mum was zipping up my wedding dress. I couldn’t believe it - it was all becoming so real. Also, when my dad and I went to the church together in the car, we turned down the street to the church and then all the emotion came pouring out. But the main time, of course, would have to be when I was walking down the aisle to the song ‘Cannon’ and seeing Chris for the first time. Any advice for brides to be? Enjoy every moment because it goes so quickly. Flowers by? Lisa (family friend) supplied and arranged the flowers. We also had roses from Roses in Mt Eden. Cake by? Send a Chocolate Cake from Mt Eden - it was delicious. Number of attendees? 80. What was your bridal car? A white 1950s Dailmer with red leather seats - it was beautiful.
Furtherest travel for a guest?
