Want to get a new season look without spending ridiculous amounts of money? We took three women, just like you, shopping for a new work wear look. We show you how they shopped their fantastic shopping spree, and give you tips for updating your own wardrobe and nabbing a great bargain! Our shoppers

Our shoppers each won a great shopping spree care of Dress-Smart! Nicola took away $500, Nicole $300 and Liz $200 - all on Dress-Smart’s snazzy, new gift cards. These great little cards make perfect Christmas prezzies and are a smart idea for the budget conscious shopper (no over spending with one of these babies!). And the last shopper of course was me, the girl that’s not meant to be shopping – but the bargains were too hard to leave on the shelf!
Accessories lover And the $500 goes to: Nicola Nicola works in advertising and already has quite an established wardrobe; she was mainly looking for pieces to help update her current pieces. Whilst Nicola had her thoughts on snapping up some tops because “they are versatile and can go with anything”, she also had her eye out for some accessories. After all, they are the perfect way to update and refresh her great wardrobe basics! She spent most her money at: Escape My favourite buy: The Anya clutch – a great, red croc clutch that can double as a wallet. The perfect update for any work or play wardrobe! Anya’s advice: Dress-Smart is the perfect place to snap up affordable accessories because these are the pieces that really don’t date. So make sure to hit up the shoe, handbag and jewellery department of your favourite stores. The time poor shopper And the $300 goes to: Nicole Nicole also works in advertising but was a bit rushed time wise for our little shopping trip. That said she was after some great warmer weather pieces and had her eye on some basic tops and a great little skirt in a taupe colour. She spent most of her money at: Max My favourite buy: A great white long sleeve shirt. So versatile! Anya’s Advice: If you’re a time poor shopper like Nicola, try to put aside your time limits and have a little fun with it. Nicola chose to focus on one store she really liked, and spent most of her time there. It’s a strategy that paid off for her and she even walked away with a little extra spending money for later! Needs colour! And the $200 goes to: Liz Liz was really excited to go shopping with her bonus $200.00 (even though she had just finished a shopping trip with $200 care of her partner!). Liz was looking for a way to introduce colour into her wardrobe, she lives in black garments and no longer needs to wear a uniform at work! It was time to give her wardrobe a shake up! She spent most of her money at: Max My favourite buy: A great figure hugging green top – perfect colour! Anya’s advice: If you are reaching outside of the realms of uniform dressing, then do what Liz did and focus on the tops. These can mix and match with all your outfits creating a look that is uniquely you. The Have-to-Shop Shopper I didn’t win any vouchers and I wasn’t even meant to be shopping, but I was so whipped up in the fun of shopping in Dress-Smart that I found it hard to resist! Let’s just ignore the fact that I don’t actually need to buy anything, but the rows of sale priced shoes in Overland were a little hard to resist! She spent most of her money at: Glassons My favourite buy: A great coral toned chiffon dress, perfect for new season layering. Anya’s Advice: Always go shopping with an open mind! Even when you aren’t necessarily looking for something, let items grab you. Two dresses for $40.00 is amazing, and the shoes I have on hold will be a bargain at $145.00.
