About You
How to Spot an Obsessive Boy

I am sure we have all had that experience, or wiped away our girlfriend’s tears following a date gone wrong – wrong in the sense of ‘yikes, this guy is creepy, crazy maybe and ummmm…showing early signs of obsessive behaviour?’

You ponder the fact you’ve only just turned off your “weird guy” radar after changing your address and phone number 100 times trying to ditch the last guy that just got a “little” obsessive about you.

So what are the signs to look out for when hitting the dating scene…

Well, forget about compatibility – like, is this guy’s star sign compatible with mine? Go straight for the obsessive traits of his sign to see what kind he may have. Don’t forget obsessions can be a good thing too – especially if they are obsessive about wanting to make you happy and buy you things like a new car, new wardrobe and divine jewellery…

Aries: These lads can tend to be obsessive about whatever it is they are focusing on at the time (so watch out if you are in their sight). They can even be a little self-obsessed when they aren’t obsessing about you and can hold grudges, so remember not to borrow that favourite shirt of his the morning after and forget to return it, or worse, lose it - he’ll never forgive you or let you forget.

Taurus: It’s all about money here - these guys can be really obsessive
with theirs… especially when it comes to holding on to it. It’s quite likely he will expect you to pay for everything when you’re on a date with him and to make it worse, may even have an obsessive desire for his date to personify perfection and beauty.

Gemini: These guys just love to talk! They are totally obsessed about
collecting information – the more the better, so make sure you haven’t got any skeletons in the closet because he will try his hardest to get you to reveal it all. In fact, the more information he can get about anything or anyone the better. It is quite likely that you will have to share him with the other people in the restaurant while you are on your date as he goes busily about collecting information from them as well.

Cancer: Mind these boys as they can be prone to possessiveness. They can be a little selfish and feel sorry for themselves at times, but because they can be obsessive about their personal privacy and protective of their inner most thoughts, it’s not likely you will ever find out what has been getting to them – as long as it’s not you.

Leo: Watch out for these boys as they are born leaders and obsessed with power! They just won’t be happy unless you are following them and doing as you are told and when in a relationship they have to be the one with all the power. It’s definitely not worth giving up your hard earned career for these boys – they’ll never appreciate you as the equal (or better) you are.

Virgo: These guys are cleanliness freaks and totally obsessed with keeping everything in its place, including you, so you will need to make sure that you always have a duster on hand and don’t step out of line, he’ll pull you back into place for sure! Of course, this can be a good thing if you can’t be bothered doing housework.

Libra: These guys are obsessed with all things beautiful and love the arts. If it doesn’t look good, feel good or taste good, then he just won’t be happy so make sure nothing has passed its “used by” date when you have to cook for him and that all your pictures are hanging straight when he comes over.

Scorpio: These blokes have a passionate obsession with being critical of others so it’s not likely that he will give way to passion of the personal kind when you're on the couch watching a movie, he will more likely be criticising the people in it…not to mention all your friends.

Sagittarius: These guys are perhaps as not as obsessed as they could be when it comes to dealing with others but they more than make up for it with their obsession about living life to the max – just watch out for the left-overs (empty cans that is) from the night before as you are likely to trip on some on your way to the loo!

Capricorn: They’re obsessed with sensuality, which could be a good thing but watch out for these lads as they have a need to do things right and therefore become caught up in methodical way of doing things, so the “getting it on” could take a little more time than you were planning!

Aquarius: These guys are obsessed with their independence and although they will welcome you into their life with open arms, they are not going to share it with you as easily. Give him his space but keep in mind he will still want more, and more and some more…

Pisces: These boys are obsessive worriers and can escape into a world of fantasy to avoid having to worry about their day-to-day existence. It’s quite likely he will be late for your first date as he will be so worried about what to wear and of course, he will be worried about whether you will like him…

So girls, you are now armed with some great advice for what to look out for when dating – have fun and don’t get too obsessed about following this advice to the word!
