Lauren Conrad, who came to fame on Laguna Beach and now stars in The Hills, is famous for her easy, carefree style.
From simple dresses to beach wear and pretty runway party dresses, nzgirl shows you how to steal her fresh faced look.
Glam it Mixing old world glamour (that neckline is so very Marilyn) with new season’s style of the moment (metallic touches) means that this look is a style statement. What I love even more is that with such a high glamour look, Lauren has gone decidedly low key with hair and make up, which adds a fresh faced cuteness to an otherwise quite serious outfit! To get the look at home, search out this season's metallic fabrics and pair back with matte or basic block colour accessories. Brown and beige tones down gold, while white and grey tone down silver fantastically.

Cute and Casual Even when you see her on the red carpet, Lauren's style of dress is a little bit more casual. The lines are simple and often reminiscent of floaty beach dresses. It seems a little unfair to focus on all things red carpet when the look which has made her famous is definitely her California girl beach-side persona. Go with cute and comfortable shapes and silhouettes. Feel free to experiment with colour and embrace forms that show off a little more skin. Cotton and cotton blends are natural warm weather fabric choices and have a soft look perfect for replicating Lauren's style.

Fresh Faced Pretty Lauren's look is decidedly fresh faced - after all she is young and there is no reason to cake it on! If you have great skin or just want a little coverage then reach for the tinted moisturiser before the foundation. This will mean you get your daily dose of moisturiser paired with a little colour that is enough to even and soothe your skin tone. We suggest NIVEA Tinted Moisturiser (2) which uses skin refining pigments to adapt to your natural skin tone and evens out your complexion without clogging pores. Pair this with a little eye-liner (4) in a dark brown or caramel tone, a swipe of natural toned shadow (1) and a little glass-like gloss (3) finishes the look.

Long Lush Locks Lauren's signature long, blondey brown locks are definitely enviable. After all, her hair looks super healthy and all with little effort! If you aren't blessed with the straightest of hair then a pair of straighteners is your best bet however it’s not a good idea to use them all the time. Even though it's a little bit more effort, blow dry your hair once in a while as opposed to straightening, as blow drying straightens your hair at a lower temperature. Don't know how? We have a run-down here and a few extra tips here.
